Uniqlo Partners With J.W. Anderson To Target The US Fashion Markets

Uniqlo shakes hands with several fashion designers to launch its summer collection. Following in the footsteps of Jil Sander, Inès de la Fressange and Carine Roitfeld, Jonathan Anderson confirms his partnership with Uniqlo. This Irish fashion designer says that partnerships are important in the fashion industry.

Speaking to “Harper’s Bazaar” yesterday, Uniqlo’s president, Tadashi Yanai said, “Anderson is a talented and hard working person. He is both cooperative and dedicated. We want to give a new horizon to the fashion industry. The British tradition of dress will soon be introduced in the US. We need talented designers like Anderson.”

He added that every fashion designer should seek the help of others as it is the only way to survive for long in this ever-changing industry.

Uniqlo aims to target the US markets

Much of the clothing we wear today has a long history. Many new styles and designs are introduced. Fashion designers should bring forth something exciting to maintain the interest of customers. In partnership with J.W. Anderson, Uniqlo will showcase its summer line at a presentation in downtown Manhattan. It is the first time when the brand will showcase its products at an event in the US, highlighting its commitment to the area.

A little about Anderson and Uniqlo

Northern Irish designer Jonathan Anderson established J.W.Anderson in 2008. In 2012, he rose to prominence as a provocative menswear designer. He is serving as a creative director of the Spanish leather goods brand Loewe since 2013.

Uniqlo is a famous fashion brand. The company has its outlets in Japan and fourteen countries globally, including the US and Canada. In 1998, they opened their first urban Uniqlo store in Tokyo, and outlets soon spread to the major cities of Japan.

After the success of several fashion shows in the US, Uniqlo has tweaked its plans to open outlets in New York, Washington, D.C., and Boston. The Japanese clothing brand will soon launch its summer line in the US in collaboration with Anderson and Carine.

Anderson also looks excited about this partnership and hopes to introduce his new collections by the end of April.
