Tabu’s original/full name is Tabassum Fatima Hashmi. She is one of the best, most successful and beautiful Bollywood actresses.
Born in November 1971, Tabu has primarily worked in Indian and American films and has won various awards. She earned a National Film Award, six Filmfare Awards, and the Padma Shri trophy by the Indian Government.
Some of her most incredible works include Maachis, Kaalapaani, Virasat, Kandukondain Kandukondain, Hu Tu Tu, Astitva, Chandni Bar, Maqbool, Cheeni Kum, Haider, Drishyam, and Fitoor. Over the years, Tabu has appeared in a large number of films and has received appreciations from her fans.
Her international projects include The Namesake and Life of Pi, where she played the leading and supporting roles respectively. You would be amazed to know that Tabu was born to a Muslim family, and her mom and dad divorced in her childhood.
Her grandfather was a professor while her grandmother was a housewife. She studied at St. Anns High school, Hyderabad, and then went to Mumbai for higher studies. This Indian actress completed her education before starting her professional life and played minor roles in Telugu movies too.
Tabu’s first release in Hindi was Pehla Pehla Pyar, where she played the main character but this film didn’t do good business, and she remained unnoticed for years. For the first time, she rose to prominence with her beautiful performance in Vijaypath in 1994, where she played a role opposite Ajay Devgn.
In 1996, Tabu gave eight big hits to her fans and became one of the rising stars of the Bollywood industry. One year later, she was seen in Border, a film that depicted the events of 1971 Indo-Pak war.
Unfortunately, this bold and beautiful actress was charged in Kankani during the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain. Not only Tabu but also Neelam Kothari, Sonali Bendre, Salman Khan and Saif Ali Khan were accused at that time. But nothing could stop these stars from touching the peaks of success, and today Tabu is a renewed name all over the world.
